I don't really consider myself in a position to be handing out tips. Yea I've been doing this for a long time, but I'll leave the tips for those who are on the water 300+ days a year and whose mortgage depends on putting clients on fish. FLY fishing has always been, for me at least, alluring for the simple fact that once you think you've reached the pinnacle, the point where you should be dressed head to toe in the WhORVIS trout bum collection, there is always more to learn. I do however feel OVER qualified to rip info off of the web and pass it along. I have to add my disclaimer though, because if the tip sucks don't blame me. I didn't come up with it. I merely passed it along so that you could give it a whirl. You can thank me later!

Big Browns Beware!
Ran into Jeffery Dahmer on the RIVER this past Saturday. Apparently he has risen from the dead and was in search of some of the larger Brownies in the RIVER. I know what your thinking Jeff Dahmer was on the RIVER looking to sodomize and eventually cannibalize some of the large Brownies.. crazy shit I know. I didn't get a chance to snap a picture of the man himself, but I did sneak a shot of his twig when he went to relieve himself. Brownies beware he's ripin' meat!

What You Lookin' At Dawg?
He made me promise not to give up his location... in return he gave up the location of five of his twenty four plus inch homies. These lips are sealed!

Learnin' For A Future Of Earnin'
Yea, yea I know Wednesday has came and gone, and I have failed to bring the goods in the usual humpday fashion. I have been harnessing my inner Urkel as of late with my nose in the books with plans of eventually getting a job where I can buy new rods without having to use the lay-a-way plan. I have also decided that I have enough deadlines in my life lately and this blog should be reflecting the life styles of the ones bringing the goods... LAID BACK! So from here on in I plan on posting up shit ( that has no relevance to fly fishing anyway ) whenever the notion strikes me. With that out of the way we here at FLY would like to present to you a photo we call "The Tug Is The Drug".

Back To Pop's...
The dirty south is experiencing a bit of a heat wave. Actually it's more like the heat was cruising through, it's ride broke down and it has just been hanging out for the last awe lets say... whole summer. I must confess I cursed the Irish weather we had this spring, and caught myself constantly talking about how I couldn't wait until summer. I had something a little cooler in mind while dreaming of summer... it wasn't anything remotely close to the bloody heat wave that has caused every trout below 2000 Ft to swim upside down!
Anyway KPV and I decided Saturday we would make a trip back to Pop's to see how the warm water fishes were faring. Unfortunately the bucketmouths were showing signs of heat stroke as well. We were on the water from eight until eleven thirty and all we had to show for time was sunburn, dehydration and a few gills. I would say come on fall but i'll not dare poke that sleeping bear... from now on my thoughts on the weather will remain unspoken. On a hopefully much cooler note FLY will be taking part in Trout Camp Part Tres in a few weeks. You can expect to see pictures of full frontal trout nudity from this trip as I am making this my sole mission. Until then enjoy some pics of Pop's magical oasis...
