The dirty south is experiencing a bit of a heat wave. Actually it's more like the heat was cruising through, it's ride broke down and it has just been hanging out for the last awe lets say... whole summer. I must confess I cursed the Irish weather we had this spring, and caught myself constantly talking about how I couldn't wait until summer. I had something a little cooler in mind while dreaming of summer... it wasn't anything remotely close to the bloody heat wave that has caused every trout below 2000 Ft to swim upside down!
Anyway KPV and I decided Saturday we would make a trip back to Pop's to see how the warm water fishes were faring. Unfortunately the bucketmouths were showing signs of heat stroke as well. We were on the water from eight until eleven thirty and all we had to show for time was sunburn, dehydration and a few gills. I would say come on fall but i'll not dare poke that sleeping bear... from now on my thoughts on the weather will remain unspoken. On a hopefully much cooler note FLY will be taking part in Trout Camp Part Tres in a few weeks. You can expect to see pictures of full frontal trout nudity from this trip as I am making this my sole mission. Until then enjoy some pics of Pop's magical oasis...
