I'm Two For Two

Got the usual call from KPV Friday night inquiring about Saturday's fishing details. (For those counting this Saturday made the second weekend in a row yours truly was chasing tail...don't jump the gun and talk about a consecutive game streak just yet) Rewind to earlier in the week at our weekly round of golf (which I suck at equally) Doggie had mentioned joining us for some trout fishing Saturday if the weather cooperated. Fast Forward back to Friday night after deciding on a destination I phoned Doggie to see if he was still DOWN TO CHASE SOME WILD BROWN. The answer was yes and we agreed upon a time and a place to meet. After a return call to KPV to advise him of the rendezvous point and time, it was off to bed.
The alarm seemed to go off just as I had fallen asleep and after an early stop at Daisy's for an over sized helping of grease lighting I made it to our rendezvous point. We exchanged pleasantry's and were on our way... We made it to our destination around eight, geared up and hit the water. (After being trapped in a flood last Saturday that could only be compared to one the likes of only NOAH had experienced I was glad the forecast was calling for blue skies.) We had fished maybe one hundred yards up stream when the clouds began to dump rain... the first thing that came to my mind as I huddled under a pine along the stream was that maybe this was an omen, a sign that I needed to be at home possibly taking Cephus for a walk. After thinking on this a few seconds I realized I'd rather get wet fishing than be walking that dog... Then as quickly as it started, the rain was gone and we were left with a thick layer of steam blanketing the stream from the rains. We continued up stream and were immediately into fish. (Doggie managed his first Trout on the FLY thanks to our expert entomology skills.) We continued to pick up fish until afternoon commitments made us abandon ship and make the long walk to the car and back to reality. The end of the day turned out to be beautiful and before returning home KPV and I scouted this newish stream for camping locations as FLY will be making an overnighter (multiple nights) in the coming weeks! Our trip will also be the source of the second installment of FLY FILMS. Stay tuned! Until then enjoy some porn and scenery pics on us!
